life just ... isn't fair @ 11:58 PM

why do i say so?

you know those gachapon machines? those machines which you put some money in and turn the knob?

while i was out having lunch with my mum, i came across 4 of these machines with the maple keychains. there are 6 of them - orange mush, horny mush, ribbon pig, blue snail, surbo D and yeti & pepe. my 1st was the yeti & pepe. my mum gave it a try and got the same one =( on the 3rd try, yeti & pepe again! at least the 4th and 5th tries resulted in a cute horny mush and surbo D. that was $10.

on monday this week, met owl for dinner and a little shopping. she finally got her adidas bag. what's more, it was about half the price of what she remembered as there was a 30% discount (lucky owl #1).

then, we dropped by bunk as she wanted to take a look at the keychains. i decided to try to complete my collection. 1st try, horny mush =( 2nd blue snail !!! it's probabaly the cutest one of all. 3rd yeti & pepe again =(((( sad sad.

owl decided to get a set of her own. and so with 8 $1 coins in hand she tried her luck. and guess what, all 4 tries yielded different ones!!! (lucky owl #2, life is unfair #1). i decided to try 2 more times to complete my collection. owl offered to help me on that and so i passed her the coins. she randomly picked out 2 machines and out popped the exact 2 i needed. diao. (lucky owl #3, life is unfair #2). i hate owl =x i gave her the horny mush since it was one of the 2 she lacked.

owl wanted to try the brownies at dhoby exchange. and after giving it some thought, she decided to try to get the last keychain. and so we walked back to bunk. she needed 1 outta 6 of the keychains and there were 4 machines with the keychains. the odds were kinda low, mathematically speaking. she picked a machine, threw in 2 coins, stretched her hand into the slot and pulled out the plastic container. she looked at me and asked,"what do i lack ah?" i replied, "orange mush." she looked at the container, and inside was.... an orange mush (lucky owl #4, life is unfair #3). i wanna strangle owl.

so all in all, i spent $20 bucks on my collection (lotsa extra yeti & pepe) while owl spent $10 (with the horny mush from me), that's not even a minimum of $2 x 6 = $12 lor.

conclusion: life is UNFAIR. sobs

well, though life maybe unfair at times, i'm glad it gave me good friends. hope this post brought a smile to those of you reading =)
