 mum's birthday @ 8:43 PM
it's my mum's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! met my mum and brother for dinner. we ate at stone grill along east coast road. somewhere in katong. we each had an oktoberfest set dinner and shared portobello mushrooms. considering what a filling set it was i don't suppose $26.90 was all that expensive. mum paid for dinner cuz she said i already got her a present. got her a new handphone - N6070, cuz the one she's using now is my old N6610 which is like more 3 years old and acts up every once in a while. not exactly that good a phone, but at least it's new, paid a little for it - about half the cost of our 3 dinners added together. promise i'll get her a nice new phone once i get myself a proper full-time job. stone grill's concept of serving up food is pretty cool. basically the food is served on a super hot piece of stone, so your steak, fish, prawn... is literally cooked right before your very eyes. i think the emphasis is on the food's natural taste so whatever you order isn't smothered in sauce. though they do provide a small portion of brown sauce on the side. so i guess you could say it's rather healthy. i think i've fallen in love with the ribeye steak i had. it's really juicy! (are you drooling yet? haha.) the service is pretty good too. =) so if you're looking for a good place to have western food, have some cash to spare and don't mind smelling like dinner after you've had it, stone grill is a place worth considering. oh no.. i think i sound like i'm doing a review for the restaurant. oops. tomorrow's gonna be another boring day at work. at least i've only 3-4 days more to go. haha. think i mad.. i'm gonna be out of a job.. again, and i'm happy.
