marathon ktv @ 3:54 PM

last weekend was supposed to be a plan-less one since doudou was on course and rainie had to do surveys. we had nothing laid out at all until saturday afternoon. i was at lunch with my mum when rainie callled and asked if we had plans at night and said she wanted to go ktv and sing to destress. frankly, i was a bit shocked cuz so last minute mah. then i ask her to ask owl if owl want go lor. owl said she's okay with it so there was this whole bunch of sms sent to confirm time and place. roar!!! then doudou good lor.. at course never listen to the ahpek, sms all the way.. exam still get full marks. zzz. she copy the ah-neis one. haha. joking. doudou is pro la.

i met owl around 5 at OG orchard. she had planned to renew her card. after a bit of trouble we found the counter only to discover that even existing members must spend a minimum of $75 for renewal of membership. roarrrr!! so we shopped around OG to see if we could get anything. i wanted to get my mum her birthday present. didn't manage to find anything that was nice and yet affordable. so in the end we didn't buy anything. supposed to go meet doudou and ivan at far east plaza but we got a bit lazy so we changed the venue for dinner to isetan orchard, where lido cinema is. owl ate subway while the rest of us had kfc. haha. all ordered student meal wor =P doudou finally got her kfc like after 2 weeks? (side note: this may have been a bad idea. read on to find out.)

we booked the 8pm ktv slot so we had tonnes of time to stroll there. that doudou sot sot de.. walk so fast. owl was saying we should just hide somewhere so she wouldn't be able to spot us when she finally realises that we're gone. haha.

we arrived at partyworld at 7.40 or so. started off a bit slow cuz no one wanted to sing 1st. haha. i think owl sang 1st in the end? forgot le. haha. rainie joined us around 8. ivan didn't sing initially, but i said if he didn't chalk up at least 10 songs but the time we finished the ktv session, he'd have to pay the bill for all of us. haha. and because of this i got called a big bully =x roarr! *whack ivan* oh yes, i finally found the opportunity to bring doudou's mini pillow/cushion. she was using it as a weapon lor. OUCH! you should have seen her and owllie lor.. like 2 big kids snatching the pillow from each other. tsk tsk.

i already know from the 1st ktv session that owllie and rainie could sing. from this time, i conclude that doudou and ivan can sing too!! doudou's and rainie's voice can hit higher notes.. very nice wor. then owl and mine is lower. owl sings well too! she knows super alot of songs. haha. then hor, ivan ah.. he can sing all range, all kinds and all singers!!! S.H.E (ella), jay chou, elva, mayday.. and he can RAP! actually doudou also can rap ah.. she did abit of the 中国话. hehe. nice nice. ivan must practise more wor. next time you and doudou can rap the whole 中国话. =P

anyway, the ktv package was 4hrs - which meant no bus or train home le. i made a passing remark and asked if they wanted to go for another round so that by the time we're done there'd be transport. ivan was saying that he'd rather pay for another round than pay for cab. then i think owl was okay also cuz her house no one home for the weekend. then left doudou and rainie. i thought doudou sure don't want, cuz if stay up all night then 不美美 mah. suddenly all say okay but who know the stupid partyworld so popular, booked until 5 plus in the morning. zzz. so no choice, next best and nearest - kbox.

this was when we started bombarding icy's and tuna's handphone. cuz they said they couldn't make it at 8pm cuz they had other plans earlier. then since now got round 2 must jio them mah. we were like nagging/pleading/bugging whatever-you-call-it at them. doudou, owllie and me all talking into the speaker. we nag and nag, suan and suan, they also say cannot come. roar!!! waste our talktime. hmph.. both of you owe us ice cream treat!

next came round 2 of ktv. must say that kbox room is quite alot smaller and the tv is like half the size. doudou was complaining cuz she ultimate partyworld fan. haha. actually the room and tv small i can accept but the microphones there... CANNOT MAKE IT LA. firstly, the sound is weird weird de. like sing liao no atmosphere. secondly, and the worse part of it. the mics STINK LA!! roarrr!!! not that we wanted to smell it, but when you sing, you can't help but put the mic near your mouth (and your nose also mah). so i went and ask for them to be changed. change le also smelly can... but not as bad. lucky owllie kop the leftover wet wipes from partyworld. i was like scrubbing the mics with the wet wipes. doudou was laughing at me lor. =(

management there lousy sia.. we go in.. all the songs from the previous group were all still there. we had to cut so many songs before we got to ours.

1 thing super power about the kbox at cine... THE AIRCON! wah lau.. it's like freezing cold lor. only doudou and me brought jacket. even with the jacket.. still cold!! see rainie and doudou share my jacket like so pathetic. so around 2am i walked out of the room and went walk walk around cine. i was really surprised to see the mini toons shop with the shutters half down, so i hurried over to see if they'd let me in. they agreed! haha. so i went in in search for a blanket, but they didn't have any. so next best alternative - beach towel! haha. we were all still freezing despite the towel and jacket. rainie came in skirt.. roar!!! at about 3am doudou and rainie was half concussing le. ivan kept throwing my marshmallows at doudou every time she closed her eyes. haha. flying marshmallows!!! thankfully they're individually wrapped. think by 4am rainie and doudou gave up and went to sleep. left owl, ivan and me singing. oh yah, i forgot to mentioned this time i told ivan he had to chalk up 15 songs... haha. cuz more expensive and longer hrs.

we took some photos too. but my handphone lousy so picture quality kinda sucks. so wait for owl or doudou to upload ba. doudou was saying that ivan looks like a jailbird cuz he wore a top with alternating horizontal black, white and grey stripes. i managed to capture a picture on doudou's handpone with ivan making a face when we made him take a picture with rainie and doudou. quite amusing. must go see when doudou uploads it.

around 5 plus doudou and rainie woke. but doudou woke with bad stomach pains. see her 脸色 super freaky. we decided to go off and get her to a docs. figured that we didn't need everyone to go. furthermore rainie had something on. so i got doudou onto a cab.. and said "gleneagles hospital". i know of supposedly 24hr clinics, supposedly cuz they open from 8am to 11pm or midnight, but at 6am.. i was clueless and desperate. so who cares that it's a private hospital.

so we reached the clinic.. was empty as expected. got doudou registered. the nurse took her blood pressure, heart rate and temperature. then told us to wait. waited so darn long for the doc lor. wait until doudou say she think she's feeling better le and wanna go off liao. seriously if i knew it'd take that long i might as well have gone to a non-hospital 24hr clinic. roarr!!!! the doc finally strolled over and gave doudou a checkup. before he went off he asked if she needed mc. i asked if she could get mc for tml (mon), then he ignored me and mumbled something like "you don't work on sundays right?" and went off. noob doc!!! doudou got buscopan for the pain and mylanta for gastric.

decided to take a cab and drop doudou off before i head home. was waiting on the glenealges side then doudou say go across the road more 顺路. so we cross lor.. then wait and wait and wait no cab.. eh wait.. got cabs.. but all hired. wait until doudou wanted to take bus back but i don't allow. already sick and in pain and lack of sleep le still want take bus?! *whack doudou* when we were just about to cross back to the other side of the road, a cab finally appeared. thank God. then dropped doudou off le then i go home le lor. then i think all of us, including the rest who went off first all concussed till afternoon lor. end of story. haha.

doudou was complaining on her blog that her mouth was itching to sing and that she wants ktv, but after last weekend, i think she won't be thinking of ktv-ing anytime soon ba. LOL. i think the mention of ktv can make her nauseous le.

anyway, my apologies to dodo doudou. my bad for suggesting the ktv marathon. =( hope you're all better le.
