 some updates @ 12:03 AM
last sat was Mayday’s back to earth concert. my 1 st ever pop/rock concert. don’t really know how to describe how i felt. i did feel a little odd at 1 st, but eventually i just let myself go and found myself swaying to the music and singing/shouting at the top of my voice. it’s pretty amazing to see how some 10000 odd people can come together and be as one, despite the difference in age, occupation, beliefs and character. i’ve never really had a favourite band or singer, but i must say that Mayday is really a band whom i admire. their musical talent is something which needs no elaboration, with the numerous beautiful songs composed and written by them. the energy they display on-stage is unusual, not to mention amazing, for their age. their friendliness towards fans is worthy of comment. i mean how many pop idols actually bother to look at you, say “hi” and even shake your hand when you attend an autograph session? their wit and humour? indescribable. i was thoroughly entertained throughout the 3 hours plus concert. i remember a part during the concert when ashin asked all in the audience, students and teachers to join in. i was at the brink of pulling my entire shirt over my head. it was funny how coincidental it was, that I fell into one of the categories he mentioned. there was also a really funny, though eh… crude comment made by masa, about the birthday cake and candles. All in all, it was just sooooooo cool la. I don't know how to describe. Must go attend the concert to experience it. Next year? =P their songs were what drew me to them. i never related to so many songs by a particular singer/band before. it seems as though there is always one of their songs to describe and suit a mood, feeling and situation in my life. i guess that’s the power of music. it fills in when all words fail. i’ve also come to the end of my teaching days of practicum. another week and a half to go, but it’s all invigilation for now. somehow, invigilation is more tiring than teaching. even though i barely speak more than 5 sentences during invigilation but am practically raising my voice throughout the hour long lesson, it feels a dozen times more tiring to be invigilating. i’m so gonna miss the kids. though some more than others. received some really sweet notes from a few of them, little handphone accessories and even a box of chocolates. yes, these are really swell gifts to receive, but to me, nothing means more than seeing them do well, hearing them call out “miss limmm!!!” whenever they see me, telling me not to go cuz they’ll miss me. Ah shucks, they’re gonna make me tear I tell you. what can i say? i'm an emotional and sentimental freak.
I want to go gaigai. I’m bored to death now. Roar!!!
