an evening well-spent @ 2:40 PM

didn't do much the whole of yesterday morning and afternoon. but the episodes that unraveled in the evening are things i'd remember, or rather things i'd want to remember.

met owllie around 6.30 at vivo. she made me search for her on the rooftop. must say that it wasn't too hard a task cuz all i had to do was go to the point nearest the sea. i was lucky i started from the correct side =) saved me some walking. hehe. the sky that evening was really beautiful. being fans of nice scenery, the two of us could have spent all day just watching the skyline change. words fail to describe the sky that evening, but here are some photos from owllie's handphone camera =)

anyway we went walk walk around vivo a bit. highlight of that was a visit to the pet safari. shall leave owllie to blog about that =)

had dinner at the foodcourt. must say that food republic's food stalls serve pretty good food. a bit more costly than others but some are definitely worth the money. after getting a drink from giant we walked over to st. james. st. james is really pretty at night too. never been there so it was really quite an eye-opener for me. we didn't know where to go after arriving so owllie gave cas a call. was quite funny cuz the next thing we knew cas was saying something like "just behind you. talk so loud." haha. didn't cross our mind that it was them ba. afterall, none of us met either one of them before. cas, cas' gf (carrie), cas' collegue (jason) and bluelouts (uncle blue) were there. we hung around outside for quite a while before going in to settle down. got a seat outside the club. open air space with rattan chairs and those umbrella thingies. drinks were ordered and before long we were into our "pet" topic - maple.

nigel came around 10 or so, followed by nesh close to 11, imerodi, her sister and friend around 11 plus and nat around 12+.

i knew previously that maple brought people together, but i guess this group of people are somehow not really within my expectations. i don't mean i don't expect them to maple, i just never thought that we'd be sitting around tables, having drinks and talking about maple and more maple. of course we did talk about other stuff. eh.. i remember cas saying that rodi owed them a pole-dance performance. cas and nesh was trying to get her to do a pole-dance which of course was a joke. i remember laughing alot when cas tried to do a mini pole-dance imitation. and no, i didn't video it. hehe. owllie and me chatted quite a bit with carrie. we were trying to hatch our evil scheme to bankrupt cas. haha.

anyway my impression of the maplers there that night:

cas: looks like his maple char. don't ask me why. i just feel so. funny guy. entertaining too.
uncle blue: didn't quite expect him to be his age but he's really nice and funny too. i remember him telling us how his son sold a skewer for 300k and thought it was a great deal and how he almost fainted. haha
nigel: has a really kiddish voice. funny guy too. oh yes, he seems to like ktv alot.
nesh: though i dunno him at all and have no impression of his maple char. somehow seeing him, i just expected him to look the way he did. another funny guy too. keep saying he pwned rodi and wanna pwn dunno who.
imperodi: also super funny. never seen her char but now that i went to check, looks kinda like her. reminds me of my aunt =x
nat(sumer): another one who looks like her char. seen her char a few times in-game before. alot of people seem to be asking me so i shall just post it her, yes she is chio. lol

seems like all older maplers are all funny people? =P

see if you can identify anyone. nat's not in the pic though.


on the whole the outing was fun, funny and memorable. when i started playing maple i never expected that i'd actually meet such a group of people. quite amazing really. had quite a bit to drink that night - partly cuz i'd been looking for an excuse to drink all week and partly cuz it was just nice drinking in the company of people sharing a common interest.

went home that night with a heavy head, very heavy head - had to lie down in the cab on the way home =x sorry owllie. but i went home with a lighter heart. it's always good to talk things out, but yet i have trouble letting things out. so i guess the alcohol did have some effect. okok, maybe alot. i get chatty when i drink more than i should. but i'm definitely still conscious of what is going on around me. i still remember owllie asked me to keep something for her in my bag when she herself forgot lor. haha.

i do think a certain amount of alcohol does make you sleep better =)
