 Friday, October 02, 2009  treats @ 12:31 PM was invited to dinner by a good friend (who was my RC junior in secondary school) yesterday night. she bought me dinner. if you know me, you'd be surprise i let her pay. but she insisted and i gave in. it was a treat from her first paycheck. i'm thankful that she gave me the chance to share her joy in receiving her first pay. in an odd and unexplainable, i think i felt the way parents feel when their kids take them out for a meal on receiving their first pay. i was so proud and i guess it really showed. i could almost feel my jaw muscles aching on my way home. i can't quite explain why i felt the way i felt. i guess it has a lot to do with seeing them grow up from when they were young teens till now, when they're working adults. yesterday reminded me of when one of my best friends bought me a meal with her first pay more than a year ago. it was a treat i couldn't reject. it was a joy that i wanted to share. thanks girls. it really made my day. especially after such a long and tiring week.
